So I’m sure it’s been discussed before but lately I’ve been having issues with a message every 2 seconds saying a trailer is disconnected and connected trailer light faults and blind spot deactivate. I recently put dielectric grease on the plug that connects to my 4 pin and the 4 pin am I missing any other plugs. The dealer keeps telling me they can’t find anything. It only happens when it’s snowy and slushy but can’t seem to figure it out. Very frustrating tia

If this started after you put the grease in the 4 pin connector, try removing the grease, drying it out, and see if the messages stop.

You're definitely getting water in somewhere it shouldn't be. I would try a better service department

I can't find the treads now but there was some discussion early on concerning a poor wiring connector under the bed. Perhaps snow and slush is getting into the connector?

Most of the connectors have seals in them but, that doesn’t stop water coming in via the wires path. Simple fix is to take connector(s) apart and use spray silicone. Remate and then spray ends on both sides. You don’t needs tons of spray. Just enough to know they’re wet. Overtime it acts like a water barrier

All it takes is one connector and one crappy connection to give you headaches like this.

From what I have seen crawling under mine there are quite a few back there but nothing with patience you can’t get done.

This happened on mine a couple years ago just after I got it, like you only wet or slushy weather. I tired greasing 4 and 7 pin, still did it, so I took apart the main plug behind the bumper and greased it up and its been fine ever since.

I actually greased the 4 pin and the plug it went to under the bed by the driver rear tire area lol just madness to hear a ding every 2 seconds

The plug that gets incorrectly slammed together at the factory has a TSB. (might even be a recall). The dealer should have already cut into it and replaced it if it's acting up. It's just mis-management for them to give you the runaround.

Good news.
If it continues to be the answer to your original problem, I would take to a dealer and have them replace the plug.
Good luck.

I wouldn't wait. One of these times the green corrosion monster will take the rest of whatever pin is afflicted and you'll lose tail lights entirely.

I’ve noticed that one of the plugs on the 4 pin was starting to get green in it
