Touch Screen Brightness?

My option to adjust screen brightness is grayed out. I can’t figure out what setting I have turned on that won’t let me adjust brightness. Surely for didn’t disable this option, right?

If I recall, take it out of auto, and select manual. I will have to check mine to be sure

Writing this reply before taking the time to go out to my truck to check, but a previous car I had disabled brightness controls on the middle screen when the dimming control to the left of the screen was maxed out full brightness.

EDIT: Some F150 posts say that brightness adjustment is disabled when headlights set to OFF.

This happened to my screen yesterday after I had my TPMS programmed at Discount Tire...I thought my screen was off but it turns out to have been very dim and the brightness was greyed out...I drove around and after a restart, it was normal again...
