So this is likely a unique problem that few will have, but when I put my motorbike in the box with the cover removed the piece the cover company gives you to fill the gap hangs down far enough that the front knobbie tire catches on it and wants to pull it off.

I measured the gap and got a piece of 1x1 nylon stock we have at work , cut to size and painted to match and installed it to fill the gap with some 3m double sided trim tape. Fits well and kinda cleans it up too.

The factory one seen leaning here, the square part filled the gap and the thin metal hung down and attached with screws and threaded rubber grommets where the red circle is, new one is already in place. I coulda just took it off each time as I dont have the bike in there often, but it wasnt the easiest to remove.

Here it is again with the piece I trimmed off to give and idea what it looks like, its just a hair under 1X1. I did not paint the underside where the tape would go.

So ya, likely solving a problem nobody else has, lol, , but I figure it will be better after I get the spray in liner done as well..

Cheers, Todd

The factory hard folding cover (Bak G2) came with a filler. Looks like a squared off "P" that used those 2 holes.....took me an hour to get that damn thing on, but I used SS bolts and nylock nuts to secure it. And with my big hands, I had to get creative with some duck tape wrapped around my finger tips....but it ain't coming off.
