No more slip yoke clunk I take it?
None at all. It drives smoother now then when I first bought the truck. I have a pretty aggressive tune on it so it shifts a little hard, and you could really feel it in the drive shaft. Now it’s as smooth as butter.

You're sweet talking me right now. Definitely going to look into it. My slip yoke clunk drives me absolutely insane.

I’d say it’s worth every penny. Plus you don’t have that carrier bearing attached to the body anymore so in my case, idk if it’s the same for all rangers, it made the interior much quieter.

Why does the new one-piece look longer than the original in the pic?

It’s just the camera angle, and I also did not have them perfectly lined up with one another. If you order one from Tom Woods you have to measure for the new one.

How did you get the driveshaft from Tom Wood's? I emailed them Wednesday and got an answer back from Shawn Wood that there is the supply chain issue delaying production. I have been on their notification list ever since it was added on their website.

I work with them all the time at my shop, we sell their driveshafts for jeeps daily. I was able to do some testing for them on this product and that’s how I got mine early.

Just installed the Tom Woods one piece drive shaft and man did it make a huge difference. No more vibrations, and it helped tremendously starting from a dead stop. It has 1350 u-joints and a aluminum spacer plate to mate up to the transfer case.

I really like that shaft.. I did heavy towing for 20 years and what I seen over the years A lot of broken shafts mostly from to much power… with that said the size of this shaft I think the ranger can’t produce enough to come close to it…but spinning at high RPM’s on highway that may be something else, then again less parts have less problem's.. I am interested for sure..

I have just one question I am not worried about the one piece drive shaft breaking… what has me thinking is what is the angle of the shaft now verse the old shaft, is this a back yard mechanic plug and play or is the rear going to have to be readjusted for new angles I would have to believe U joints won’t last long if that’s the case..
