Tire rubbing with ReadyLift kit

About a year ago, I had the ReadyLift 3” SST kit installed on my 2019 Ranger. I’ve noticed that the only time I hear a rubbing noise is when I’m pulling out of a driveway that’s higher than the road and I have to make a hard right turn onto the road. I have factory tires, 265/60R18, so I didn’t think anything would need adjusting with these tires, but anyone else with this issue? 4WP installed the kit and nothing on the paperwork shows any adjustments were made due to the lift.

An additional question about this kit for those who’ve had it on for awhile. Has anyone noticed any excessive wear of factory parts due to the kit? I’m just curious because I do have an extended warranty and I realize any premature wearing of certain parts due to this kit won’t be covered under warranty.

It should definitely not be rubbing with the stock wheels and tires. Are you sure the noise is coming from tires rubbing? Are you able to see where they are rubbing? Could it be something else?

If you have the stock wheels and tires you should not rub whatsoever. What could possibly be happening and that's happened to me from time to time is the ABS activating a little bit when you hit a bump while turning when coming out of a parking lot or even going into a parking lot. What you know what the noise sounds like it's easy to identify.

Thanks for the replies. It happened again just recently and I’m thinking less that it’s tire rubbing. I looked at the left front tire and don’t see indications of rubbing, on the tire or wheel well. It sounds more like a grinding, but not rubber...nor a metal to metal grinding. After reading similar stories I’m thinking it might be ABS related, as Frenchy noted. Since it’s still under warranty I may get the dealer to check it out. Thanks again!

I had a similar situation this past week - slow hard turn into a lane way and I could feel it. Turns out, I had accidentally moved my 4WD selector into 4H.

Man, I gotta stop stuffing things like face masks and work gloves down in that cubby by the USB port. ?
