Back in '21 I ordered a ranger tremor. Only included the minimum options nessesary to be able to add tremor pkg.
I just picked up set of timbren ses and will be install myself.
I had a quick look around this forum.

I put this to anyone who added timbrens on a otherwise stock ranger with tremor.

Any comments?

Tremor has a bit higher clearance than standard rangers. Does that reduce or negate the effectiveness of the timbrens?

I haven't installed the timbrens yet, just got them yesterday.

Don't know if this will help you. I've got them on my fx4. Unloaded there's about 3/4 -1" clearance between the spring and the timbren. Maybe you could use a spacer on top to adjust the space. They are great for towing or a heavy load.

I went ahead and installed the timbrens.

Every year on fishing and hunting trips, the poor truck is heavily loaded so I thought it could use some help.

The rest of the time, as a daily driver, it is only loaded with snot nose, bank draining, poop factories. ?

Later this year, I will try to remember to post an update after doing the fun stuff off the pavement.

A 75+ mile trip on dirt roads. And climbs up a hill on a lumber trail loaded with venison bait and trailing an ATV.

Daily driving, with timbrens installed, has changed the way I drive the truck.

On parts of paved roads that are in good shape, you can't tell the difference.

Until I drove on bad sections of pavement or over speed bumps, pot holes and the like.

Which in my city, is practically everywhere. ?

It's a bit of a tradeoff.

Harsher ride on the bad stuff, however the back is much tighter, sportier. And I have more confidence because the truck is improved in directional control around corners.

Took the truck on a fishing trip last week. I did a good 100 miles of unpaved roads. No issues and the timbrens appear to have soften up a bit. Could be the heat. Hope they are not too stiff this winter.

How many miles are on those Fox's? There was a thread recently that indicated the Fox's need rebuilt every few thousand miles or so.

The claim they are rubber..but that could just be their term for the polyurethane foam that most stops are made of. If they are rubber then they would be stiffer and longer than stock. Haven't had my hands on a set yet though.

Good to know. Lines up with what @Mrl posted then.

Can't think of how to say it without coming off as a shill, but I think for our trucks, the SumoSpring blues are the better choice. Longer, but of a softer material that will build spring rate more progressively.

You'd end up with a better unloaded ride since the initial contact wouldn't be as harsh.

Some good information here. Yes it is for racecars and street cars, but one thing you have to realize is that truck suspensions are starting to use the very same tricks that cars have been using for a while. No longer are bumpstops just there to keep the axle from smacking the frame. They are very much an active part of our suspensions.

But, that's just my opinion.

The shocks have 25k miles. I started looking into replacing. I want to try a set of digressive, like Icons.
I also debated between timbrens and sumo and was originally going for the sumos but got a great deal on the timbrens.
The truck is either really lightly loaded or heavily ( overloaded in fact) so the timbrens really help reduce stress on the leafs during off road trips.
