Throttle Controller

Hey you all. A few days ago I installed a Raxiom SpeedForm Throttle Controller. It has a NORM mode, ECON mode, as well as Sport and Racing. Ten-minute install.
What a game changer! I can basically tune the actual delays from gas pedal to ECU (brains). At Sport mode (2) and level 7 out of 1-9 has changed the entire personality of the truck. She just wants to GO! I'm still experimenting but man!, This product is for real!

I tried one about a year ago (not sure it was this one, I don't remember), and it wasn't my cup of tea. I'm happy enough with the performance the way it is and I can use sport mode if I need it.

I went around about a tune and all that, but decided against it.

Planning on buying one just to be able to lock the throttle. I live in Colorado, Denver suburbs and last year Denver was #1 for auto theft in the country ?

Not sure you can, but other models include a lockout profile that you can select. Then you unplug the controller interface in the cab before you exit the vehicle.

Anybody that should attempt to steal it, even if they had your keys would have a dead pedal.

Unless they were hip to the idea of the controller, and trust me most thieves are after the quick steal, they'd move on.

If they knew about the controller they could just unplug it at the pedal but like I said, they're on a clock, they're trying to get stuff done quickly. They basically operate on a little script, they do things a certain way and if something doesn't work the way they're used to it working, they abandon the attempt on that vehicle.

They don't try to diagnose why it didn't work while their odds of getting caught start going up by the second.

I didn't think the peddle lag was a problem in my ranger. The new bronco on the other hand was really bad. I bought one for it from the classifieds on here.
