Ok, so I don’t have the truck yet, but I figured I would start a build thread before it’s even built. I just got the email that they pushed my build back a week, and I wanted to have a place to voice my frustrations, though I will admit I placed my order on 12/18/22 and about a month later they gave me an estimated build date of 3/20/23, so I probably don’t have a lot to complain about. Anyway, I’ve already got a list about a mile long of mods I want to install to make it as Alaska capable as possible. It'll probably be a long build, as money isn’t something I have in excess right now, but I’m gonna have fun. I’m gonna try to steer away from superficial things that are mostly for looks, and go for as much functionality and longevity as possible. I’m also curious to see how long it takes to be shipped up here once it’s built.

Waiting for it to be built (then shipping) is always the hardest part. But once you get it you'll be glad you waited and doing the mods slowly will be more fun watching it all come together.

Will you be supplying your own infant or just borrowing one from a neighbor?

...I had to ask

Picked it up yesterday right before we made a 400 mile drive down to Anchorage! What a fantastic road-trip!! The stock FX4 suspension is not nearly as bad as I was expecting, and is honestly pretty great for our frost heavey, pot holey roads. It definitely has the most power of any vehicle I’ve driven, and I very much enjoyed the seat of the pants feel of the acceleration. Tranny shifts smooth but firm, hopefully stays that way. I’ll post more once I get back home

Also, I’ve got a Melipron bed rack ordered. It is adjustable and seems to be decent quality, and is under half of what the comparable Yakima setup is, so I’ll let y’all know how it works when it comes in.

Long wait but looking good Hunter. I hope you have many happy miles in it.

I hope you don't try to keep that key mess in your pant's pocket...
