So as many know we are a shop that specializes in outfitting offroad vehicles . We have taken our years of experience in offroad racing and used those tools to help us build some amazing offfroad vehicles . We also have made a point to work with many companies in the industry to develop and improve what’s available in our scope.

So we figured a few months ago to pick up an ranger. And it’s been a fun ride since .

We will try to update this as much as possible but we stay very busy running the business and building vehicles.

If we can help in any way , hit us up!

So originally we had planned on running a icon kit for suspension. But we had a few dozen kits on order since November , and had many delays from icon . So we received info from our friends at Total Chaos that they were working on a UCA. They said hey we will send you a set once they are available .

Next up we needed shocks ! Coilovers and rear shocks . Our friends at Radflo we’re driving around one day and seen a ranger. So they caught up to the ranger and propositioned the owner to allow them to develop a coilover and shock in exchange for a free set.
Once they had measurements that they were confident in they reached out to see if we wanted a set.

We held off! We were still hoping to get a Icon Kit .

But after another delay in our shipment we reached out to Radflo.

We opted for 2.5 coilovers with adjusters . And rear 2.5 shocks. We wanted to see how 2.5s in rear worked before adding adjusters . Our relations with icon suggested 2.0 as the rear is funky and 2.5 may be too much without a lot of tuning .

Now we have a 2.0 coilover option and a 2.5 coilover option. Along with the same for rear. Looking ahead we may be working on a 2.5 bypass for the rear but have to figure somethings out and dial in what we have .

As I write this we have a set of 2.0s if someone would like to test out we could extend a hefty discount .

So next up was Wheels and a few performance goodies . We went with fifteen52 wheels since we have a great relation with them. Also paired them with Toyo Tires . Concerned with weight we went with the AT2s to save on some pounds.

On the performance side . Our friends at Turbosmart had a couple of BOV options. We also did a K&N filter. Not knowing our final plan we held of on exhaust options. But called in to SPD to get some of their goodies and also brought in Borla and Gibson.
But that’s just to figure out the best setup and be able to give customers feedback.

How are you liking the radflos with the total chaos ucas?
So far so good been doing some testing with a few other brands as far a Shocks . But defiantly worth the $$s.

Let us know if interested . We have some 2.0 that we need some feedback on and can extend a smoken deal .

It looks like you removed the crash bars to fit those larger tires, correct? What tire size did you pair with the fifteen52 wheels and how is the clearance at lock?

With the wheels and tires on and the suspension, we figured we needed a bit more WOW factor. So we reached out to Addictive Desert Designs as at the time they were the only option out. So we got a aggressive bumper to really separate our truck from the stock look. We also did the ranger raptor grill. Truck was coming along

We removed the bars long before we added the Tires honestly . We had a front bar grab some dirt off-roading So we eliminated them.

So then we added a few more cosmetic upgraded. Personally we weren’t fans of the side emblems so we had contacted our friends over at Air Design who make some cool parts for the ranger and other models we have messed with. They have a cool black vent for the fender to eliminate the factory chrome look. We also added there hood scoop. We have been torn on weather we like it or not . We also don’t know if we should paint to match .

Knowing we plan on off-roading we needed some body protection. Long before we got our truck our good friend ford ranger lifts came by so we could test fit some sliders . But we. Have been stumped due to frame thickness . We have been working on a concept but in the mean time we found some pieces from NFab that would at least offer a bit of protection.

We also got with our friend over at VTX wheels who made us some hub centric rings for the wheels to ensure a smooth ride . Check out VTX wheels and go to our site and order if you like the styles .

While we were waiting on parts we decided to hit up some friends of ours that we work with to do some engine power modifications. Dyno tuning and we want to start working on power packages for these trucks . So we were off 2 buildings over for a base dyno. But this turned into us playing around with a few things .

Next we hit a set back! Dam! We went tour for some offroad fun and wanted to capture some good footage. We usually take our ship builds to this area and get some good photos and video. But first test run into a left hand turn in a sand bowl. I heard a pop and dash lit up. Well call it a night and go back to shop.

We checked everything out but couldn’t find anything wrong. So hooked up our scanner. Cleared the codes and drove around . Mind you it’s 10pm now. So drive home and we will take a look again in the morning . Well back on the rack in the morning and couldn’t see anything wrong. Truck had been driving fine. So ok let’s go hit the dirt a bit . Welp dash lit up like a tree. Bring back to shop put back on the lift and examine everything. And what did we find ???

A broken rack and pinion. What ? Yes ! We broke the rack housing.

So call Ford order a new one.

But we kept driving the truck. It’s amazing broke in 2 places and still was able to drive daily . And then what else goes wrong . Cracked the windshield on the way home from shop . Really?

Called up Safelight and got a new one installed . But had to get the lane departure calibrated. Well we were able to figure out that calibration with a few attempts .

Ouch on the rack breakdown.

Thanks for all the info on your build out. Those shocks do look quite nice.

Since you have the adjustable reservoirs on your Radflo shocks how much were you playing with tuning for road vs. off-road damping? Were you able to find sweet spots for each or haven't had enough time yet?
