Sorry for the pic heavy post but thought these were cool. Taken from the '75 auto show in Chicago. Brings back a lot of memories. Just look at the size of those Caddys! lol

Did no one notice the '73 Mach 1 at a '75 auto show? I think you went 2 years earlier Dave.
Great pics at any rate though. Though Dodge does say '75. Maybe you went twice?

Naw, 75 alright... 75 VW Scirocco, I bought one new exactly like that and a TOTAL POS. I dumped it at 3500 miles. Stayed in the shop more than out.

And 1975 was the first year for the Rabbit. My dad did not keep his long. Probably had 10k miles when he got out from under it. It had many issues. He actually had to pull the ground wire from the radio to patch the throttle cable back together so he could get home once. Also had bad vibrations in the front axle so he would stop, jack it up, and push the wheel back in. It would stay there for some time until the vibration started again and the process had to be repeated.
But I was able to take my drivers test in it. It was surprisingly difficult to parallel park a car that small and still demonstrate the skill. Haha!

A small storm passed and cooled it off some. Nice evening to sit on the porch and enjoy the view. :)

Really nice photos, is this a hobby of yours? Taking notes, I always do further away shots for flowers but up close looks great with the focus on the flowers and the blur in the back. Sorry if my terminology is inadequate, I am speaking out my butt of knowledge. What kind of camera do you use? I always wanted to get in photography as a hobby, but it's a tad daunting with all the terms and tech heavy cameras...

Yes it's just a hobby. I would love to make it more than a hobby but I just don't have time. I just teach myself as time allows. A lot of it I've learned while running AV for my church throughout the years. The hardware I use is a Panasonic Lumix GX85, and for those shots I used a Lumix G II 20mm lens. Usually I use that lens for videography and astrophotography but I wanted to see how it did with close up photography. They turned out really well with the bokeh (background blur) and required very little post editing.
