After kayaking the Lake Huron side of the Straits of Mackinac. The delineation between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan, and the Upper and Lower Peninsula's of Michigan. It was relatively calm, but there were some nice rollers once you got further out from all the ferry/shipping traffic. The water was so clear it was inducing a vertigo affect, which was especially disorienting with the rolling waves.

I went to Mackinaw many years ago. Nice area.

That's awesome in my previous career I was a sheetmetal mechanic. There's nothing more calming than 3am on top of a tail stand overlooking the blue runway lights.

I had the pleasure of working on commercial, military and business jets in my 10 year career doing it.

Installing doors on my Wildcat after a entirely too close encounter with a very angry snake sunning itself in the middle of a dirt road. The snake was every bit of 6ft plus it uncoiled about 3ft and struck the bike hitting the rocker as we went by. I hammered the throttle but was in low gear and that evening full doors were ordered.

Reminds me of a video my uncle took of his final flight after 40 years at United. He was a pilot in Miami and then a pilot instructor for the 767 out of Denver. A sunset posting had him in Hawaii flying 747s Honolulu - L.A. Filmed his final approach and landing from the left seat. It was a while ago - his instrument panel looked more like something from Skylab compared to what you have there. Nice pic!

The 767 is a great airplane. This one has been upgraded from its former life at American Airlines to the glass panels you see here. Other "mods" include winglets and cargo conversion. Maybe I'll get on Etsy and find a Tremor sticker to slap on the rear. Most of my time is spend flying Honolulu to Seattle to LAX and back but I did fly it out of Miami for a while to the Caribbean and S. America.

Additional photo inside a reply for bonus PIC whore status. Me landing in Honolulu taken by the wife who was supposed to be closer but wanted to be on the beach instead.

If you put a Tremor sticker on, it has to be slightly crooked, just like on the truck. ;)

Went to New Orleans and Southern LA for hurricane Ida in September 2021. What a fun and unique area! I would have loved to seen it under different circumstances. The culture and climate are very different than any other place I have been.
Beautiful picture Tracy!

My Dad lived in New Orleans for about 30 years. He was an engineer on an oil rig. I loved going down there to visit. Loved the atmosphere.
Bayou La Batre is outside of Mobile and was greatly affected by a hurricane (can’t remember which one). They are well known for ship building.

Hey Randy,

Reminds me of when I was a teenager living in Calgary. We would go camping at Tunnel Mountain or in the Kananaskis Valley. Beautiful. ?
