I had not heard that, but maybe with the early ones (2002), this is a 2004 and everything fits.

I really liked the 'bird when they came back out. At least until I sat in one. I'm 5'15" and they are not a tall person's car. At least with the hard top on. I'd have to duck to look out the side window and with the bulkhead it's impossible to move the seat recliner back anywhere far enough. Good looking cars though.

I liked them when they came out, but Ford priced me out. I waited a few years and picked up a very low mileage one and saved about 40K.
