I picked up a set of these a couple of weeks ago at Home Depot for like $30; they work surprisingly well, and pack up pretty small.

All you need is a king sized pillow and you will have a 2 seater . My wife has that same type for the kitchen cabinets. You talked me into stealing it for the Ranger. Great idea.

I like them because they're small enough to strap into the bed without taking up too much space, and they were a fair bit cheaper than a bolt-on bumper step. I leave both in the bed, so I can put one on either side of the tailgate, and because there's enough stepladders in the house.

With the tailgate sitting too high defect, I would also need a step stool to get up there ?
And with the rake, that pool noodle has to pull double duty or I'd roll into the bed!

On our first road trip after buying the truck, I repurposed the long seat cushion from our patio sofa - outdoor fabric and it was almost a perfect match for the tailgate, both length and width. Needed a place for both my wife and I to sit after all.

Great idea Larry. Now that's Polish ingenuity at its best! :like: ??

But you'll have to move it over so it's centered more. With the uneven bed rails there's a good chance the whole truck is off and you'd spill your drink being off center.?
Bring back Polish jokes lol...man we're getting old...

I haven't seen anyone post anything. (may have missed it). This is my version. Using my truck bed pillow (not to be confused with the other kind on the market) for the cushion & a pool noodle split lengthwise to slip over the bed cover for back rest. Enjoy morning coffee afternoon cocktail of your choice, or even a cold pop. You all enjoy now. ☕??

You know a damper could fix that...

Surprised you didn't mention the lack of a dampener...
You mean how spilling your drink might dampen your pants, or are you talking about an accessory device to reduce oscillation, aka "damper."

Though if you spilled your drink on your pants and a companion, one of you might be damper than the other.
