Yes, I have a white truck. I went with black letters. Was thinking of red. But since most of the trim is black, I went with black. I got them off eBay.

Black matches everything. If you decide to do it, the letters will go on much easier if you take the tailgate off and lay it flat.

There have been a few. I seem to recall a few years ago someone on here put one of those on a red tailgate, although it was part "want" part "fix that dent the economical way". I don't remember who it was, though, or if he had a showcase; could be worth checking those out.

I looked it up on the link Then looked it up on eBay. Ford wants $309 eBay wants $230.87. Found another from Americantrucks for 109.99. And this one comes in assorted colors.
