Interesting, I checked yesterday and mine was on 22200, maybe has to do with trim level, I have an XLT.

Same for my XL.

Maybe it's taking extra long seeing as it's still on the original Sync. lol

That is possible, sometimes these updates are not 'combined' and the current one relies on the system being on or higher than a previous version.

It finally updated. I went out to do a small job this morning and it was still on the old version and when I went to leave it was updated. Only problem now is my phone won't connect. It connected when I started the truck up but half way home it disconnected. It's showing on the phone tab and I touch it to connect but it doesn't. I'll probably try deleting it and re syncing the phone.

Maybe my Ranger's mad that it's not original anymore? ?

Your phone disconnected during the reboot after the update, if it won't re-connect after an ignition cycle delete the Ranger from your phone, put your sync in 'find' mode, and re-connect.

I connected to my phone hotspot and started the update. Took about 30 min to download and then it began installing. I left and came back in about an hour and it was updated. I don't see any charges yet.

The Sync updates are free it's the Nav updates that they charge for. That's why I just use my phone for the Nav as I refuse to pay and the phone works much better in most instances.

I have XL with no touchscreen no GPS I don't even know if it has Bluetooth that works. But I DO have a real tach

You should check the version because I thought all the Rangers had Sync 3. Mine is a '19 and yours being a '21 you'd think it would be 3. Come to think of it how would you check it (or update it) if you don't have a touch screen?

Mine auto updates while in the garage. I am showing version 3.4.22200. I'll run an update check tonight. Now issues with the current version though. It has worked better than it ever has.

and thats why it needs updating lol. fix it till its broken says ford

I have the little screen too and it is SYNC 3 just not fancy like the others

Is there anywhere to find what is actually in the update? I searched here and Google and the ford website, but all I can find is HOW to update, not WHY to update.. What does it fix, what does it change, etc...

What's up with your Apple Car Play? mine seems to work fine.

Interesting, I use mine every time I am in the truck, for music and mapping, haven't had any issues, except when off road and out of cell coverage, then I plug in the USB full of MP3's, and be sure to download the area maps when I have the coverage.
