While cleaning my 2019 XLT (I’ve been the sole owner in Maryland, 40k miles), I noticed rust around the rear drivers side door drain. Upon further inspection, paint is bubbling from the inside out along 9/10ths of the bottom seam. It moves when I put my fingernail into it.

Anyone else finding this issue? It’s the kind that will just come back if I have it blasted and painted since it’s coming from the inside out. Had a Toyota for 15 years prior to this truck and never a rust corrosion issue. I’m disappointed as I’m planning to drive this truck into the ground and it’s my first major issue.

Make sure the drains are clear. I have the same issue with my 2014 Ford Fusion with 50,000 miles.

I had an issue with my 2011 Ranger. Heard water sloshing in the passenger side door. Removed the plastic clips they had in the door drain holes and the water came pouring out. Took all those clips out, they partially plugged the drain holes.
