I just got this 2019 Lariat in August. I added the running boards, tailgate step, and tailgate damper. I just received the official brake controller and need to install it when I get a chance. I had a 2005 Ranger XLT Supercab with an aluminum cap, that I bought in 2011 and sold after I bought this one.

I am going to get a bed topper and am shopping around and getting as much info as I can. I have pretty much decided on a mid rise. So far I have seen a bunch of you tube videos and most brands seem to have quality issues. Anyone have any advice?

Still trying to learn this forum. Also, I feel like I am part of a subculture, so I need to learn lots. It seems that many guys to a lot of mods for better looks, better performance, better towing, etc. I worked as a mechanic all thru the 80s but I feel a bit out of touch.

hopefully a picture is attached.

Welcome Frank - you’ll learn that your 2019 will have a bunch of things later model years do not. You’re right about the subculture. ?

I also came from an earlier Ranger model year and still can’t get over how much bigger and better the 5g is for me. Yours still looks brand new!

Duke, Thanks. The truck has a little rust on the underside, lol.

What are you referring to when you say that my truck has things the newer models dont have? Is that good or bad?

I tried to quote you....hope I get it next time...

Local dealer has a used 22 Supercab listed at almost $41000. Maybe since they are hard to find, they are going to hold onto their value longer? :handsinair::rockon: Every month caravan lowers the value on mine. ?

Seems like the SuperCrew outweighs the SuperCab everywhere I look. If you’re like me you enjoy looking a pictures of trucks like yours. Show off your SuperCab Rangers.

Only thing I’ve done is Fox suspension.

I have a 2020 model but with the chrome package (same color).I'm not a crew cab person. No kids or passengers much ,just me .I won't own a crew cab. But if they ever offer a super cab ,all dressed up ,I could be game.

Has anyone tried to reset their MPG by way of the ok button and turning on the accessory position? It gives you a lot off options of which I 'm not sure what to select . My mileage has dipped but not totally bad and switched tire size but just slightly. Maybe its from switching to winter formula at the gas station .Last few tanks has been Shell Premium . An additive was put in the gas to help clean the valves and had the valves cleaned at the dealership also. Its gone from 20 plus to 18 plus around town. Just wondering if anyone else is traveling that path .

Like NotBudule said above, hitting Reply ensures I’m notified of your message. In 2020, Ford started de-contenting a few things and added more items to the list in subsequent model years. Things like hood struts, rear folding headrests, passenger side floor retention tabs, EcoBoost badge, Owner’s Manual cover, etc.

There‘s even a thread with a list of the items.

It spawned a bit of tongue-in-cheek chatter about how much better the 2019 model year is, how the early adopters of the 5g Ranger were smart to buy when they did. All in good fun, of course.

I miss the hell out of driving my SuperCab, can't wait to get back behind the wheel, pull in somewhere and watch the heads turn and hear the whispers start , " hey , that's a SuperCab , hardly ever see one , absolutely stunning body! ?, wish I could find one "...

Maybe I should write a song about SuperCabs ? Dare I ???

Do I hear Ford won't be building rangers with the super cab option again? That would end my love, for a replacement truck anyway. :(
Only manufacturers that offers SuperCab is the Tacoma and Frontier. Bummer.
