It is a great place. Plenty of outdoor activities and not too many people. Have fun offroading out there!

Ridgecrest is my go-to community for hotels and food when exploring the high desert. The 395 is right there. Death Valley is close by. Trona Pinnacles, Ransburg, Red Rock Canyon, Alabama Hills, etc., etc.
