Just finished running an antenna coax through the rear of the cab and spent some time behind the back seat of my super crew. I realize there’s not much room between the rear seat backrest and the back of the cab, but there’s some, and I don’t need much. Any storage systems out there for the rear seat backrest?

You could potentially hang some like pouches or molle type stuff down from the headrests but as you said there isn't much, for me its just enough space to keep a rifle but not much else. Honestly since the only useable space is at the bottom where the funnel usually is on the ground loose loading stuff in there that wont fall down when the seat opens will be your best bet, though I would look into even using like a purse type bag and just hanging it down from the headrests as I mentioned that way when you pull the seats it goes down with them for easier access.

I have a bag of tie downs, a roll of paper towels, and 2 trailer balls behind the back seat. Could fit a little more, but those items are pretty easy.

I was mainly trying to find out if there was a molle or pouch made for that area? Mainly want to keep a pull strap, hand towels and jumper cables back there. I like to get items specifically made to fit.

Nope not as far as I have seen, our trucks don't have a lot of aftermarket support as it is, even still you don't need something purpose built just something that will work. There are plenty of bags with adjustable straps you could hang there that would work brilliantly, or just keep it loose loaded

Any updates on storage systems for this area? Still can’t find anything online. Anyone else had luck? I know this post is older, maybe between then and now someone has stumbled across something?

Its best for hiding drugs when crossing the border. Just remove the release tab and act like it doesn’t open.
That’s way too obvious! I hide my drugs in the tailgate and spare tire. I can fit like 60 lbs of fentanyl in there!!! I mean baby power… I have sensitive skin officer, gotta stay stocked up on that powdery relief ?

I keep 2 soft shackles, recovery rope 30ft, blanket, axe, fixed blade knife, small space back there. The 6g ranger is just as small too. I took out the stupid soft wall thingy too. Gives you more room.

I keep a ranger roll, wool blanket, and rifle back there. Under the seat on passenger side I have jumper cables, air compressor, and a small bag of tools. Driver side under seat compartment is where the ammo and mags go. Fixed blade knife is attached to my GMRS radio mount under the steering wheel where I can reach it. I keep 2 MRE’s in the storage compartment on the back of the passenger seat along with sunscreen and bug spray. Swing-out toolboxes in the bed are where all my tools and camping stuff live. Tent, mini shovel, axe, inflatable mattress, collapsible fishing kit, fix-a-flat tire repair kit, bungee cords, tarp, ratchet straps, bolt cutters, and pry bar… Wife’s truck is setup almost the same minus all the tools.

Some call me paranoid but I keep things ready to go…
