When do you change spark plugs for a 2019 ranger? Mine is 58k miles and still i have never changed spark plugs

It would be best to change them around 60,000 miles instead of 100,000 miles. Others have had issues at 100,000 miles. Also Ford recommends changing the plugs at 60,000 under Severe Service Schedule

The manual says 100k but I never wait that long. Changed them at 75k with NGK Ruthenium, stock heat range. Old plugs still looked decent. Normally I change the plugs and coolant at 50k but I had some surgery that slowed me down for a while.

Technically say both 60,000 and 100,000. 60,000 under Severe Service and 100,000 under normal(and we all know that there isn't a single one of us except @P. A. Schilke that doesn't meet Severe Service).

Yes but he got a colder heat range since his truck is tuned. I got the stock replacement units #90495 from Rock Auto (best price). DO look up the torque spec and use a torque wrench to tighten the plugs. I don't remember off the top of my head what it is.

Spark plug anecdote.
This summer I was chasing down a performance problem in my boat's GM 4.3 L V6 EcoTec LV3 direct injected engine. General misfires, half power, 80% WOT rpm max. It only had 100 hrs at an ave rpm of 3500 rpm.
I have good diagnostic software that showed normal I/Os, other than low injector pulse width. I solved it with a Hail Mary spark Iridium plug change. #1 and #2 were badly carbon smudged, #3 and #4 were a little better and #5 and #6 were pristine. No erosion or gap change.
Point is in this engine the plugs apparently caused the ECM to hold back on fuel delivery. My Ranger only has 35K miles, but if I detect any engine irregularities I'll pull the plugs as a first check.

This is our boat. 2022 Regal 1900ESX. Volvo Penta (GMC) 4.3 direct injection. 250 hp. More power than older carb GM 4.3 and 5.7 boat engines.
