I am in disbelief, after sitting, In Production”, since 2/11, my truck, (drum roll) is now, “Awaiting Shipment”. Apparently, the supply shortage and bed liner delay issues have been resolved. An alternative explanation for the progress could be my young salesman from Hemet, CA flew back to the plant to personally get my truck moving. Poor kid seems like he is gonna have a heart attack every time I make inquiry into my truck’s status.

he personally flew to the plant to look into it? that's great but you would thinking getting someone from corporate to pickup the phone and have someone personally responsible to go and put their hand on the truck. and say wtf Todd...or have Ford reroute a dealers allocated sock vehcle in transit that is close to yours. I'm sure there are enough trucking that are in transit right now that a basically identical to your build.

Wow! Well if it all works out, take the guy out to lunch or something. None of the issues are his doing and it seems like they are stepping up to the plate. Remember...the squeeky wheel gets the grease!

Yesterday I checked the status of the ranger I preordered on 10/19/18 and had gone into production on 2/06/19. It is still in production and there was a notice on the page saying that due to supply issues the earliest anticipated delivery date was late April. I have been driving my new ranger lariat purchased off my dealer's lot for a week.

It is great to see some movement on these trucks. Hopefully they will all start moving very soon.

A big advantage to having to wait do long is I am making a check list of the items I will inspect before writing a check for my truck.

Me too. One of the advantages of not being one of the first to receive it.

People say dont buy the first run of a vehicle. Well then they said they have been making them in Europe for years so not to worry. But, it is obvious if you buy a first run there will be problems. The good thing about being late is maybe some of the problems will be fixed before they build yours. You know that vehicles are a $40000 bucket of bolts. But, since people love their vehicles they will pay and endure. If I was a young man I might try a counseling hotline for impatient frustrated car/truck buyers. LOL

The seven stages of emotions when ordering a 2019 Ranger are:
shock - I can’t believe I’m ordering a 40k mid size truck.
denial - No honey I didn’t order a Ranger
bargaining - I won’t order the Platinum White because it costs more
depression - I spent too much money and it’s taking way too long. This is horrible.
testing - checking the back seat latch to see if it locks in place when I slam it back
acceptance - I can only imagine how happy I’ll be when I’m driving off the dealership lot.

I can only imagine how frustrating your wait has been. I can only say the last stage is worth it. You will eventually LOVE your new truck! Hang in there, it will come.
