I was waxing the truck and noticed this dent/crease in the roof. It looks like maybe it got hit from the underside of the panel. I’m not sure what I should do, I’ll try and get some better photos. I need some shade for the camera to pick it up. What should I do? It obviously came from the factory this way I just didn’t notice before.

Different angle.

Note: there’s no sign of damage on the roof liner

Kind of looks like the panel was dinged from the inside during assembly. Surprised the paint shop didn't notice and fix.

I wonder what ford would want to do to fix it. I’d really rather not have any body/paint work done

That would easily be fixed by a talented paintless dent repair guy. Most dealerships have a relationship with one.

That may be the best route. I’ll have to bring it to ford this week and see what they say.

Better hope your dealer is better than mine. I am still waiting for a couple of paint fixes one that said they did not do even though it is under the clear coat. Good luck.

If the dealer won’t work with you, call Ford corporate. I’ve had to do that in the past. They don’t mess around, the dealer will be calling you apologizing and offering you anything you want.

I had a very small hole in the front seat, my dealer took care of it no questions asked, that's what customer service is all about.
