Yakima Skyrise on an Overhaul HD rack on my new 2021.

I may swap out for the Outpost HD rack, to lower the tent about 6" (reduce my center of gravity and wind resistance) We'll see. I do like the option of carrying longer items like kayaks over the cab with the Outpost rack.

I've only tested it on the driveway. In a couple weeks I'm going cross country and it will get some real use ?

Did you end up keeping the overhaul hd rack? How was it worked out for you?

Nope, I swapped it for the Outpost HD rack, as you can see in my profile picture. Much better, IMHO unless you want to carry items over the cab, like a kayak, canoe or lumber.

How did you swap it out? Did you sell it or some other method? Thanks!

Yes, I sold the Overhaul supports (kept the crossbars) and then bought the Outpost supports.
Genius lol - I would of sold the entire thing and then been up sh&t creek.

How bad did it drive that high up? I would like to get a kayak one day but I think RTT is the primary use for the rack.

I can't evaluate as when I had the RTT on the Overhaul, I was on stock rear shocks. I replaced the rears with Fox before mounting the RTT on the Outpost.

Being at least 6" higher in the lowest setting, the Overhaul will catch more wind and raise the center of gravity more than the Outpost.
