Well its only noticeable if your rear door is open and you're looking for it I suppose. It doesn't bother me I just thought it was odd to see. I'm glad it's not just my truck like this I would be worried it was repainted or something.

My 15 F250 is Tuxedo Black and looks like that everywhere, when cleaned and waxed I get a lot of compliments about the colors

My Titanium Fusion was Tuxedo Black. It’s metallic for sure. Not a lot but just enough. Wish they kept that color for the Ranger.

When I was washing the truck yesterday I saw something odd. The light hit the inside of the rear door jamb and I saw a lot of blue metallic in the paint that doesn't show up on the exterior of the vehicle. Any ideas why my door jamb looks like this? Does anyone else's?

That is the same color I had on my older Ford it was rainbow metallic Black.

Shadow Black has blue metallic flakes in it. They tend to be very subtle under certain lighting.

Every Shadow Black vehicle from Ford has it. Anyone who says “no mine doesn’t” can’t see it lol. It’s there.

The paint code at body shops calls for blue flake as well.

Maybe so but its definitely more noticeable in the door jambs than anywhere on the exterior of the truck. If the exterior looked like my door jambs I wouldn't complain though its a great looking color.

Hey gang,
Fallen in love with this Black Beauty. Many more mods to come....hard cover on back, weather guard, have some decals to add besides my blacked out logo,when the weather permits. Update some green to it.
Update green decals added. Put a black logo on the steering wheel. Switched out some light bulb s in the back and had some ambient lighting added. Just installed diode dynamics amber foglights. Over the past year added ceramic tint to the window, switched out legit black emblems. Upgrade tires to Ford performance with 265/70/17 General Grabbers. Bushwacker Fender Flares. Rock lights.

My understanding though was that there is a very subtle blue flick in this that is almost unnoticeable, but gives it depth. A local body shop told me this too. Just trying to confirm. I remember the black you are referring too, but it had a significant metallic quality to it.

There is no metallic in mine. At least not the black. However, someone found what you describe in the door jams. Who knows why is beyong me. But only other color on the blacks is the magnetic gray trims. They have metallic in them.

That means it's time to wash the truck.
