SABER Ranger Club Thread

Deleted member 1634

Been a proud owner for about 3 months (and almost 10k miles!), and been on the forum just as long, so figured it was about time to join the Saber thread! haha I've got plenty of pictures, most are posted other places, including my garage. This is the first vehicle I've bought/owned where the color was a huge deciding factor. I wasn't going to get a Ranger, unless it was a Saber one. I like that it stands out just enough to catch people's eye, but not so much that it's in your face about it. That's my kind of thing. I like to add a bunch of unique details (like the tailgate lettering and off-road lights) for people to know it's me if they look, but not let everyone know.

Also, bonus mileage picture at the end to show how impressed I am with this truck!

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's Saber and getting more ideas of how to make mine special and unique!

Got a few compliments on the Saber color, and I saw a 2000 Ranger yesterday in a color very similar to Saber.. I asked him the name of the color and he said Mandarin Gold..

How did it do in the sand and everything? Did you use the sand Terrain Mode? Just 4WD? Just 2WD? I have yet to take mine on any real off-road stuff, though I want to start getting into it more/again. So I'm curious how it does in real world off-road conditions.

I forgot about the sand terrain mode. Lol. Let me first say that the stock tires are HORRIBLE in the sand. They were a little better after I aired down but still felt like I was going to get stuck if I even slowed down when in the soft stuff. I mostly stayed near the beach in the packed sand and even then the tires felt sketchy. I was by myself so didn't really test out the limits. I stayed in 4H the whole time. Turned off T-control as well. I think with the right tires these Rangers are going to put all others to shame.
