I try and park as close to the curb as I can so my passenger can step out onto the sidewalk, and not have to drop to the ground LOL
that extra 4 or 5 inches makes a difference my mother is 80, she dont like my truck so I keep telling her to call UBER!

I actually lost points on my driver's test for parallel parking TOO CLOSE to the curb . My dad and I spent several hours dialing it in just perfectly right up to the curb between two trash cans only for the lady to complain at the DMV that there should be enough room to put your foot down on the street. My opinion? I want my passenger to be able to step right onto the sidewalk.

? then you probably know the exact rule. How far is not too close to the curb? In Germany you are allowed to park a maximum of 30 cm away from the curb with the rim flange. Theoretically, auxiliary police officers can even write you a ticket if you park too far from the pathway….

same here as well. I've never heard of parking "too close" to the curb... but where I am in NY, you can be ticketed for being more than 12 inches away from the curb (about the same as I recall).

That was filmed about a half hour drive from where I live, Cayuga Ontario. If your a drag racing fan the local dragstrip is the one where Garlits and other signed to allow Shirly Muldowney to drive top fuel.
