Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

I came very close to pulling the trigger on a showroom truck today but ultimately selected to stay the course with my preorder. I have however contacted my dealer about the possibility of changing the color of my order to Hot Pepper Red. If I don't have a VIN what are the chances that could still happen without pushing things back? I added the sport package a while ago with no issues.

The Lariat in Kissemee? We drove down and looked at it. VERY glad I selected HPR. Although not exactly how I ordered mine (no 501a or appearance pkg), it is close enough to have made me really stoked for my truck.

Got notification that it is in production as of 14 January and the estimated delivery date is still today (20 January), but the dealer said they still haven't received a pre-shipment invoice or anything.

Yep, I didn't get down to look at it but was pretty much lined up to do a deal. Thought better of it and sticking with my order, but it looks to be a nice truck for someone else.

So the dealer I ordered from got their first Ranger in Yesterday and he asked me if I want to come down and take a look at it - Shadow Black, Lariat 501a, fx4, sport, tow pack, 18" upgraded wheels. I took a look, its nice but its not oxford white and I didn't want the wheels since I'm going with the Raptor wheels anyway. I asked him to take a look at my order to see if anything has changed since the last update which was like two weeks ago. I sat with him at his desk and he says, "oh it looks like the build date has changed to February 1st". He had been telling me the delivery date was January 28th for the longest time, basically since i got a 'build week'. He printed out the VIN history for me and the updates are dated, the build date update was dated for December 7th, 2018. Basically he's just been regurgitating the build week to me as the build day without really checking. Now I'm thinking even harder if I should just pick up that other truck that's exactly like mine with the exception of the wheels. I can for SURE get it this week OR just wait until probably the end of February for mine to deliver and not spend the extra 800 bucks. What to do?

TLDR: My build date is actually February 1, or I could go pick one up exactly the same this week for 800 more from a different dealer

Seeing as I also have a build date of 2/1 with a delivery date of 2/17, you’re only 4 weeks away from getting your Ranger.

I don’t think I would pay $200/week to get my truck early.

The tracker site still shows my truck in production with delivery tomorrow the 20th?? Im sure that will change very soon. If you're now out a week, mine could change to more like 2 weeks?

I don’t think I would pay $200/week to get my truck early.

What build date did you get? We ordered the same day, I got a VIN from my dealer, but no build date and the link I posted doesn't have anything available for build date.

On Saturday the tracker showed "in production" 1/15 date, no check mark, and 1 day to delivery. Yesterday the tracker updated to "in production" 1/15 date, no check mark, and 2 days to delivery. Today the tracker shows "in production" 1/15 date, no check mark, and 2 days to delivery. Basically the days to delivery stayed at 2 days even though a day passed.

Hopefully we see our trucks sometime this week?
