Question
I ordered a white xl on 12/19/18. I called the dealer for a tracking number and they don’t know what I’m talking about. I don’t think they used the rovp program. They gave me a sales code of f24403 and an order code of p400. Any ideas?
Regards

If they didn't use the ROVP to order your Ranger, than they must have used a dealer allotment to order your truck. As such, you will be one of the few members who are getting their truck through that route.

Ford won't resume scheduling new orders until 1/7/2018, so the earliest you will get more info is next week.

Does that mean they used their dealer allotment to order your truck?

I don't think so as my build doesn't match any of their allotment truck coming in. As of what I can see on ford's inventory. All I was told that the order was placed as a "sold order".

Sounds like they messed up big time. Hopefully they can make it up to you.

Sounds like we are sort of in similar situations. Can't figure out how the dealer ordered my second truck after messing up the first order. They left the ROVP order in.

It's going to be interesting to see how many people ordered Rangers and to see if they're actually delivered on time. At the dealership I order from there was one person that ordered back in August and the delivery date was December 23rd and it is now 10 days later and they still don't have it. Definitely makes me think mine won't be here on time on February 4th. Also I'm only an hour from the Assembly Plant.

The F24403 is probably you dealer number and the order number is p400, try going to the chat window on the order page they may be able to help you out with that info.

I am a new member to forum and I would like to share my horror story so some others can profit from my misfortune …

I ordered my Lariat Super Cab 4x2 on 9/21/2018; the dealer submitted the order through the ROVP program. Over the last several months I periodically contacted the dealer to find out why I had not rec’d a build date and delivery date, the sales person at the dealer checked and was repeatedly told by the Ford scheduler the truck was not yet scheduled and no reason given. After joining the forum I saw that many members that ordered in August and September had build and delivery dates, but I still hadn’t. I went to the dealer today … and to make a 3 hour ordeal brief I came to find out that apparently a required order form was not properly filled out and the order was not approved. This deficiency was not reported by Ford to the dealership and apparently the dealer did not have a follow up procedure in place to check on ROVP orders. The sales manager corrected the deficiency this morning and I now have an approved ROVP order 3+ months after placing my initial order. Lesson for others is … if time passes and the dealer does not have a response from Ford indicating the order was approved, go to the dealer in person and have the sales manager look into it and don’t leave until the problem is resolved. I was told today that I could expect my Ranger by the end of March, 6+ months after my initial order was placed.
