Minor F-up along the way.

I drove around for 2 days with the new bar on my roof to see if the magnetic mounts I made would hold up. They did...

However,,, they started to rust and goober'd up my roof paint a little. I even have a small scratch on the passenger side.

Some ScratchDoctor took the rust stains off my roof. And I have a touch-up pen from Ford so I can cover that scratch.

I'll spray a decent dose (6 coats) of Plasti-Dip on the magnets and see how that does. The magnets are so strong, they left an imprint in the clearcoat. More money to spend ?‍

Might try a strip of clear vinyl, tough stuff sold in a roll, ive used it on rocker panels that didn't have gravel guard. Those beefy magnets should stick thru it.

Decals.com must know me better than I know myself. I ordered 2 small and 2 large decals from them. They sent 5 of each. They know it's gonna take me 3 F-ups before I get it right.

Not 100% perfect. But, I doubt anyone would notice from 5 feet away. They seem like decent knockoffs.

My oldest Son put one on his Dodge Ram and didnt tell me, I think he said the good ones start at $700, I was driving his truck one day when it went off, they are a lot louder then you would think!
