I was hoping some of you more engineer or metal fab inclined types would be able to provide some insight or ideas about making a rotopax mount for inside the bed. Possibly using some existing screw holes or tie down points? Any ideas?

So i wanted to find a way to mount rotopax cans to the inside of my bed without drilling holes. It was alot harder than it looked so I just thought "screw it" and did it anyways.

I think it worked out pretty good. The only difficult part was reaching way up in the rear fender wells to get to the nuts on the back. But with help from a friend it took about half an hour each side to install the mounts.

I’ve been wondering about doing something like this myself. Thank you for figuring it out!

Home made DIY truck bed mounting plate, using existing tie-downs on the side of the bed

Do you remember the size of that bracket you made? Looks like roughly 10x10” but curious to hear, as I am figuring out how to do the same thing more or less.

Really hoping I can fit a 3.5 or 4.5 can in there.

I'll be utilizing Builtright industries molle bed sides.

Builtright is the way to go. We sell so many of them to guys who want to do this exact thing. It's the perfect solution to mount basically anything in the bed.
