Just like @HoosierT said, it clamps underneath the bed rails. If you have a tonneau cover, they offer a specific tonneau cover bracket that will fit most covers. I will get some pics posted soon so everyone can see exactly what I'm talking about.
Yes you can actually see pretty well out of the rear view mirror. Obviously some of your visibility is cut off, but it's not as bad as you would think.
I have the Shrockworks sliders. So far I have no issues with them. They are built extremely well. I haven't used them off-road yet but I have no doubt that these will perform well.
Similar issue here when I was installing my leveling kit. Axel shafts came dislocated when I was removing the strut on both sides. Luckily, we were able to reseat them.
Another issue that I ran into was that the sway bar link completely came out of it's socket and the boot on the side that...
So i wanted to find a way to mount rotopax cans to the inside of my bed without drilling holes. It was alot harder than it looked so I just thought "screw it" and did it anyways.
I think it worked out pretty good. The only difficult part was reaching way up in the rear fender wells to get to...
I was hoping some of you more engineer or metal fab inclined types would be able to provide some insight or ideas about making a rotopax mount for inside the bed. Possibly using some existing screw holes or tie down points? Any ideas?
Finally got around to painting, or plasti-dipping rather, and installing the Lariat Grille on my STX. (Shoutout to @Rinn69 for sending me his)
This grille cleans up the front end so much. I honestly can't fathom why these aren't installed on every trim level. So happy with this mod.
I know this is a major shot in the dark, but I'll never know if I don't ask. I am looking to get a set of headlights off of the Lariat trim. So if anybody is looking to get rid of a set or prefers the look of the reflector style lights and are willing to trade up, let me know!
Thanks!
I'm not too sure about that. Maybe someone else with more knowledge on the subject could chime in. But for me personally, I'm also looking for the LED DRL accent or strip, or whatever it's called, in addition to projector lenses. Similar to what's on the Lariat trim. So I think the best path for...
I've tried the modding some headlights on my old fusion using the oven method. Long story short, I messed them up because I didn't put the headlight housing on a pan and the housing started to melt through the oven grates. :) so I don't think I'm gonna try that again
I don't know if I speak for my XL/XLT brothers and sisters, but I am DYING to swap out the ugly reflector style headlight assemblies with the more modern projector style. And $1500 for just one Lariat replacement from Ford is just out of the question.
So aside from risking getting some...
Got these 3 x 6 inch distressed flag decals for the Danger Ranger from Etsy.

Sorry mate, I've already purchased one from another member. I guess that my bad for not marking this thread as sold.
Thanks for the quick reply though!
Looking to pickup a Lariat grille to put on my STX. I don't mind the color since I plan to paint it black anyways. Willing to pay up to $200 plus whatever it takes to ship.
Thank you!
