Rock Sliders

Dropped my truck off this morning at Rocky Road Outfitters to have their rock sliders made and installed. I’ll post some pictures as soon as they are finished should be before the end of the week.

I’ve owned a pair of their sliders before. They are fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing them on your Ranger.

I was a big fan of rocky road until I read that their sliders mount to both the frame and the body. That is not a good design IMO.

Alright, picked my truck up this morning, and they cam out awesome. Some quick pictures. They mount directly to the frame and re very solid. They are listed at $699.99 and are 3 weeks out. Here is the link for more information.

Are those frame attachment holes existing or drilled? How much farther does the Kicker version extend away from body?

The wheel base is the same for the both version of them, I'd imagine they are on the same frame.

One hole had to be drilled on one side, bottom of the frame. The flat ones probably stick out another 1-2”.

I've emailed a few companies since I'm hunting for SuperCab rock sliders too. Nfab said that the mounting points are different (so maybe same frame-ish with different bolting pattern?)

Most of them bolt to the body, not the frame

Just a quick follow up, I’ve requested some more info on the body for the Super Cab and Bed, but as for the frame compatablity between the two, its looking promising. I’ll take me a couple days to sure this up, but I’ll try and keep you posted.

I spent two days with Justin and he’s a super nice guy and a wizard with SolidWorks. I’m betting he’ll get this done for the Supercab guys.

So far I believe that is correct. Mobtown in Delaware wants a ranger and will give a free set of someone out east wants to offer up. They need roughly two days with the truck. I was supposed to go there but Texas worked out better since my in laws live there and we made a vacation out of it (Shrockworks).
