Replacement Mirror Cover

Not sure if this is the right section, so please move if so.

Wanted to know if anyone knew of any options to replace a missing lower mirror cover (see photo below).

Looks like it's only available with a complete mirror assembly. Kind of hard to justify spending ~$1000 CDN for just a plastic cover...

The truck is six years old. I have a 2022. If it were my truck, I'd probably (very neatly and carefully) cover it with black duct tape. No one is really going to notice it.

The sad part is - I think it used to be a separate part, I am noting quite a few parts in the diagrams that are now (component) only or very limited split of parts

Alas, I broke mine (driver side) a few years ago.

I asked on one of the part threads and got the answer that no, that part cannot be purchased individually from Levittown Ford. I guess sticking some good quality gaffer's tape or other quality tape would be smart if you are worried about water and dirt getting in there.

Hi folks,

I’ve dabbled with using gaffers tape for the time being. I did pull the driver’s side cover off and had some of the folks at work do a 3D scan of it, clean it up and attempt 3D printing it, but it came out less than stellar. For whatever reason it printed slightly larger and the retaining clip broke instantly (printed in PETG).

I’ve asked them for a copy of the raw scan. Do we have any talented folks that want to take a stab at this?

try a deep dive on the used part market, Realizing mirrors get broken often but it's worth a shot. Ebay may be your friend

Found one on Amazon for $120.00 USD. Might not work for you being in Canada but then maybe it would

we just need to find a part number - would need to pull one off or use other mirror as a guide as i suspect they are side specific.

Don't know if you're still looking. I've the original mirrors from my '21 xlt,lariat. Replaced with tow mirrors and the originals are sitting unused. Will send you the mirror for shipping cost if you want. Will send both for that matter. Send a pm if you want. I'd even send for free with a note in box as to costs and you can reimburse.
