I'm interested in installing an SPST 12mm push button switch above the Power Mirror switch, where there's normally the button for power folding mirrors (my truck doesn't have that option).

Anyway, I'm wondering how you remove that piece of trim that's around the PM switch? Is it separate from the instrument cluster bezel/trim? Anyone know? As long as I can remove this trim piece, I should be able to install the switch. :)

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I haven't had that panel off but the bottom one just snaps off, could maybe access the spot from there. Looks like most all of them are snap on, do you have a set of nylon snap tools?

I was wondering if they did, in fact pop off or not. I tried to use some of those non-marring prying thingys, but it didn't act like it wanted to move at all....

Yep, the piece under the column pops in and is hinged. I installed my Pedal Commander control box on the backside of that panel. I'll check it out after work tomorrow :)

That panel with the mirror switch does just pop off. The left side of it hooks into the dash. So you have to pop it loose on the side closest to the gauges. I've had mine off a couple times.

Thank you! I figured it had to be simple, I just didn't want to start pulling and break something..., like the other night, when I thought I had squeezed that fender lip trim mount enough, before I pulled the lip....

I'll check it out this afternoon, after work!

Thanks again!
