My Amazon tailgate letters have faded from red to pink/white after 18 months.
What is the easiest, safest method to remove these so I can install a better set, probably Ford brand?

Has Rimor posted....heat gun on low-medium heat, 6-8 inches away. You just want to warm the letter enough to soften the adhesive. Pull away a bit at a time.
If no heat gun, swipe wife's hairdryer.
Also, if you let the truck sit outside on a hot day, heat gun might not even be necessary....get fingernail or a plastic scraper under one edge and lightly pry off.
Any residue can be taken off with mineral sprits or even WD40. Final clean up with some alcohol, and then wax.

Park it with rear facing the sun on a warm day...should peel off like any decal...I've removed the original FX4 decal without any heat gun...

I've seen people use dental floss to remove badging then adhesive remover after that.

I did the hair dryer followed by a little alcohol rub to get rid of any residue and it worked a treat. I'd recommend TuffSkins for a replacement they claim the lettering lasts the length of the vehicle.

As the RANGER is inset, it could have some challenges to avoid any marring. Vinyl letters or hard plastic?

Today might be good, 95°
Pick a corner to lift a little at a time with your finger nail...once you have enough to grab with two fingers, start to pull sloooooowwwwly....keeping it in one piece while removing will save your sanity...

Yep. In NC it should be hot enough to let it soak in the sun for 30 minutes and peel them off. I did that on the dealers free advertisement sticker and after about 15 minutes it came right off.

When I debadged my Sierra I used some strong fishing line and GooGone. A little heat helps too.

This, use unwaxed. Lift a corner heated and floss it off. You’ll be surprised how easy they come off that way
