Thanks for posting this info, it was very helpful. I just finished doing my rear frame like you did with great results! looks factory new again. I am going to let it dry/cure for 24 hours, then hit that portion of the frame with bed liner. It is the only place i have any real rust, i think it is due to rock chips flung up from tires, and then the winter salt. I keep it washed off all winter, and have it Krown treated yearly, but salt never gives up!

I skipped the bed liner for now and just fluid filmed it. Thought the bed liner might make it more difficult to remove rust in future.

The finish seems to match pretty good, sometimes black is not black and then we get into gloss to matte to satin finishes.

I think next weekend I’m going to drop the spare tire and spray around that area, then grease it up. Two things happen those in the Northeast when you need them most … they fall off on the highway or get stuck in the up position.
