I have a '21 XLT Tremor in carbonized gray and it has been perfect for me.

I really wanted LED headlights as I spend lots of time in Northern Utah and SE Idaho and spend lots of time on dark back roads. However, the gauge cluster in the Lariat was a no-go for me, and the price jump was a bit much. While the stock headlights are not great, they are better than the '06 Nissan Xterra that I had before. I used the factory-up fitter switches to wire in a light bar in the bottom grill (I didn't opt for adaptive cruise control), and I got the Baja designs SAE LED fog lights. These provide enough supplemental light on the dark Idaho roads to make me happy (and no I do not drive with my light bar on when other drivers are coming at me.)

As for the color, I think carbonized gray is the only way to go. I think all the other colors make the ranger look a little strange, and the gray matched the wheels that come with the tremor. The gray seems to be the most aggressive-looking color.

Now that I have a general idea of what I'll do, the next head scratcher is the color ?

Torn between: Carbonized Gray, Rapid Red, and Velocity Blue. I'd even consider Race Red as well.
Velocity blue. I kick my ass I didn't get that color every time I see one?

Blue is my choice?

Is there any option that is a must have?

Basically at the moment, I'm looking at Tremor Package (definitely), Trailer Tow Package, Remote Start (definitely), Spray-In Bedliner, and Soft Folding Tonneau Cover.

Is it smarter to get the Trailer Package (hitch, etc), Bedliner, and tonneau cover aftermarket or knock out all at once from factory?
Fyi, I ordered a '22 a couple of weeks ago and there was a 27 week delay in the Ford spray in bed liner.

If you are looking at resale, specifically trading in, the Lariat is better than buying and adding features to an XLT.

I purchased a Lariat Tremor because I wanted some of those specific features. I still contend that the XLT is likely the sweet spot.

I'd vote for eruption green, but I guess we lowly ranger buyers aren't worthy of that color. 2nd choice would be Blue. :cool:Anything but black!

I think rapid red is either chili pepper red or race red with a tinted clear coat whichever is metallic.

I have a 2021 rapid red lariat FX4 with black appearance package and I love it!!! I swapped from an 05 f150 because of price, lariat because of wife but I have been thoroughly impressed. I’m sure glad I got the lariat. Easy to get in and out for us older people and blast to drive like a juvenile delinquent!!!

Appreciate all the feedback and suggestions!

Had my wife chime in to get her thoughts.... Shadow Black, Carbonized Gray, Cactus Gray, and Rapid Red are her picks.

I'm not actually. My first car I had for 9 years. My Jeep, 10 years. So I tend to hold onto my vehicles for awhile lol

I didn't include my original POS beater car when I was 17 lmao

XLT over Lariat. Get a Tow Package. Let them Spray in the liner.. I buy on A Plan and can't couldn't justify the Lariat. Use the money saved to buy goodies like vent visors, bed lid. etc.. etc.. Hell I have spent $1000 dollars just in crap.... Haven't even started with any true modifications yet....

Completely forgot...Back seat on the Supercrew, tight or enough room?

I have 2 kids, ages 7 and 5. They are not getting smaller lol ... so is the back seat area going to be ok for them? How is it for adults?

Obviously will be checking it out myself soon but just curious!

I am 6’2” and was able to sit in the rear seat behind the driver seat after I just drove it.
