I just got the Redarc Tow Pro Elite Controller installed and I am wondering if there is a test device I can use to make sure the controller is working properly. I'd like to make sure everything is good before I go pickup a trailer. Thanks, John

I use one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Dyn...rds=Innovative+Products&qid=1598980803&sr=8-1

I tried one of the cheap light testers, but the truck wouldn't recognize it was there, and wouldn't turn on the controller.

I haven't driven down the road with it but it does tell you relative brake force when you turn the Redarc knob.

To be honest, I bought it for troubleshooting. It is a bit much to just test. You might see if anyone has a trailer or camper that you could plug up.

Try a trailer sales lot, surely they would let you back up to one and hook up for a minute. Shouldn't even need to take it for a drive...if you take a friend with you, you should be able to hear some humming at the brake axle when activated.
