I doubt they are bootlegged. I'd bet Cyanlabs is the developer. I'd guess there'd be lawsuits otherwise.
I've been running 23088 for a couple of days now without any issues but as others have said, if what you have is working, I wouldn't upgrade. I guess I had mine set on automatic updates but...
Settings>General
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
This function does not revert software, but does remove settings, disconnects XM, disconnects phones. You get the picture. I suppose this is usually to remove your personal information if you sell the truck.
One master reset will do as...
I guess I should note that when I upgraded to 23088, I still chose keep my maps. I did not deselect any options presented. So it should have installed Gracenotes, Voices and Apps.
I think that's the same error I was getting. The part where it says to download and try again is why I fought it for 2 days. I thought it was a problem with the files on the USB, or a problem with the USB itself. So many downloads and several different USB devices later, I finally read Cyanlabs...
Followup: So as noted, I downgraded from 22251 to 21265 after 2 consecutive master resets. Everything worked fine after the downgrade. So I went ahead and upgraded to 23088 and it installed without errors. So far, it seems to be working fine.
This suggests that I may have been able to simply...
2020 Ranger Lariat w/ nav. Issues were not saving certain settings at power off and started when on a long trip so put up with it until I got back. Spent 2 days trying to fix it. Finally read through some of the forums on Cyanlabs site and gave this a try.
Downloaded their app from their...
The batteries don't lock in with the buttons on the battery but..... they do have to be seated firmly in the charger and there is a bit of resistance when the contacts engage properly. If you just let the battery slide in the charger on its own, charging is hit or miss and can return an error...
Not sure when "back in the day" was but the mid sized cars I had would accommodate G60s and some would take L60s with the right offset. The problem is that most (me included) liked the look of deep dish wheels on the rear and this meant jacking up the rear for clearance. This also meant that the...
One of my co workers owns a 2021 F250 that he bought a level kit along with a radius arm mount lowering kit.
My previous Ranger, a 2011 XLT 4x4, looked pretty level. It had a significant squat whenever I loaded it or towed a heavier trailer with it.
One thing that I've noticed is that certain...
FYI, while it doesn't have adjustable seat belt anchors, the 2020 Lariat SCab does have tilt/telescoping steering wheel. My truck has it and apparently, according to the 2020 order guide, it came standard on Rangers.
Wow, I guess the dealer that I used screwed up. I took my truck in last week and left it for a day and a half for both recalls. The seat belt was fine, they needed parts for the child restraint recall. I didn't ask what parts but they told me that the parts are on back order and they would call...
The "Assist" can be turned off. I have just the "Warning" turned on as I don't mind the vibrating steering wheel warning. But, like others, I didn't like the unexpected help that caused a correction beyond what I intended.
The manual doesn't show an exploded view and does say do not disassemble. It is an oil pump as well so there is loss in the assembly. I'd guess the balance shaft is actually out of balance and will take some power to drive but I doubt it's much.
Since owning my truck, I've had 3 instances where it felt like the engine stopped. The first 2 times, the engine just felt like it wasn't running, the last time was accompanied by a shudder. I've tried to purposely replicate but can't seem to do it on purpose.
I have an ASS dongle with it set...
So finally got around to working on building a folding hard cover to work with my cross bed toolbox. Not quite done as I haven't sealed the center fold joint but will probably velcro a section of canopy material over the joint. I never wanted a perfectly sealed cover to begin with, just wanted...
