Yesterday. I tried to open my truck with the key fob. Hit unlock nothing happened. Hit unlock again nothing happened. The third time it unlocked and worked as it should. 2019 Ranger XLT FX
Yep, I understand but similarly I had my transmission rebuilt at 60k and I should have paid a little extra and had them replace the torque converter in my opinion. And if they are tearing it apart why not put in a new actuator?
I'm at 75k miles and just started having the Climate Control Housing Issue. Fortunately, I have premiumCare to hopefully cover it.
While the dash is taken apart, is there anything else I should have repaired or replaced that is subject to wear and tear?
When the dealer replaces the Climate...
I've had mine done 4 times so far at the dealer. It's seems to always be the first step in their transmission/driveline troubleshooting. Just curious if they follow that same procedure. I have PremiumCare ESP but I've never been charged for reset/relearning.
Has anyone has walked in the dealer service center for a transmission reset and adaptive learning. If so, I'd be curious what the charge in time and money? Since the dealers seem to have cost/time schedule for everything.
I had the same problem happen with mine. They replaced all the spark plugs and coils. Looks like they replaced the valve cover on yours. How would I know if additional work is required on my vehicle to correct the problem? Also curious of the step by step process and numbers you used to...
I saw this video on YouTube that explains driving habits and maintenance for Ford's 10 Speed. The video addresses some of the full size trucks but it seems very applicable to my 2019 Ranger which by the way is heading back to the transmission shop next week.
If you hate clicking on link (yes...
Each time my transmission has problems it takes 4-6 weeks to get on the dealers schedule and then another 1-2 weeks for them to fix it.
During this time I drive my vehicle as little as possible because these transmissions can be pretty extreme.
Has anyone had luck extending the duration of...
My 2019 Ranger is scheduled to head back to the dealer in December (6 weeks) wait for Transmission issues. Shutter when giving it a little acceleration after taking your foot off the gas. I'd like to have the DPFE replaced since many say is causes problems that seem like transmission issues...
When I drive in the mountains I like to use tow mode because of the shift patterns. However, when I'm slowing or coming to a stop I don't like the way it down shifts. I find myself driving with the finger on the tow/haul button. Tow/haul up hills and turn it off when coming to a stop.
2019 Ford Ranger is at the shop having the spark plugs replaced at 70k miles due to misfires caused by water intrusion. The water intrusion would have been avoided if TSB 21-2147 had been completed which added an engine cover. I'm surprised by this because my dealer usually executes all the...
Dealer called this morning, it is a misfire. Plugs are getting replaced today. Apparently, there is also a bulletin out to cover the rear of the engine to avoid water intrusion.
I'm curious if driving in the mountains warrants using Tow / Haul Mode? Additionally, at what load point would you consider using it?
I recently had problems with the vehicle bucking going up hills with what I thought was an average load.
Any negatives to driving in Tow / Haul mode other...
Jeff,
I'm quite a distance from you, but I take mine to Folsom Lake Ford. I have to drive past two other Ford dealers on the way.
They have never tried to upsell me. I had my first oil change at Grass Valley Ford and they gave me a list of what they do for my next service and it...
I mentioned that to the dealer and they said since I have an extended warranty to let them troubleshoot rather than just start replacing parts. If they troubleshoot and replace, the cost is on them. If I do it, the cost is on me. That said...I'm still going to order up the part and have it...
What extended warranty did you get? What level? Years? Miles?
I already have the Premium 8 year/125k warranty but would love to get more time added on to that.!
