Rear bumper repaired and now lane keeping doesn’t track

I recently had to get my bumper fixed because a golf cart hit my stationary vehicle. I finally get the truck back and lane assist no longer works well. It doesn’t find the lanes and when it does, it’s alerting me that I’m leaving the lane I’m actually in when I’m right in the middle of it. Any ideas on why a back bumper issue might affect the calibration of the lane keeping system?

It really should not affect the Lane Keeping, depending on the repair, they may have had to do some testing (operation of sensitivity) for the rear parking aid sensors.
They may have disconnected the battery.
I would scan for codes in the IPMA, and to a self-test (reset)

Did they give you a free detail & wash of any kind? or has any wax or rain x been applied to the windshield (distorting the camera view)?

If you are not getting any failure messages, as the only tie in is that the IPMA camera power feed is shared with the BLIS (Rear Tail Lamp) assemblies and there is a wiring harness they may have disconnected.
Again, this all depends on the level of damage, was it just cosmetic and they did not remove or disconnect anything or did the bumper have to be removed?

You may have to have the IPMA realigned.

Lane keeping is a function of the camera in the windshield.

@glocker17 I know. But they did something when they recalibrated the parking sensors that may have inadvertently done something to that camera.

Possibly got confused where they were at (scan tool-function tab) realized the wrong tab and backed out (calibration of the IPMA) started but not completed because they backed out of it.
Just a THEORY of how it this could have happened, and I will say easy to do, if not paying attention to what you are clicking on, but this should trigger a fault message on the IPC screen, not just a function (issue).

or it could just be a code locked in and just needs reset and a self-test on the IPMA, if that does not help - get it realigned.

If this was inadvertently started and then backed out without completing, could cause your issue,

Thanks everyone. The body shop says they will recalibrate. I'd do it myself, but everything shows doing it with ADAS which I don't have. If you could do it in for scan, I'd give it a try.

And, they did remove the bumper as part of the repair.
