Took about 3 hours. Had to do a work around because I couldn't see the rivets that needed to be drilled out. Would have been a 2 hour install otherwise. I'll be looking for a right side tailgate assist now. Lol. It's heavy.

Here we go. Got a Rough Country rear bumper because I wanted to have bumper steps and cutting away all the extra crap on the factory tow hitch I was able to reuse it. I could have gone with an aftermarket hitch but they all hang lower. It's a decent enough bumper. A few scratches here and there but I hit those areas with some black wrinkle paint and called that a day. I used rivnuts instead of putting a nut on the inside of the bumper for the license plate. Used zip ties to keep the bumper and tow hitch together during my one man installation. I flattened the trailer connector bracket on my floor press so I could mount it tucked up under the bumper instead of hanging down like the instructions say. Tied the little led pods to the reverse lights. Was a 7 hour job because of modifying the factory hitch. My tires hitch lock just barely cleared to be able to reuse. Had a net gain of about 60 lbs over the stock. With the tailgate storage a total of around 100 lbs. The rear end definitely feels even less bouncy since I have the medium weight OLD MAN EMU leaf springs. Granted these were better than the stock mono leaf.

Well, since the tailgate storage went in it feels more than double the weight. I added another damper to the passenger side and it lowers almost at the same rate as before. Now to find a solution to helping close the damn thing now. Lol. So, fyi, you can mount the damper on either side.

Part of the reason I got the tailgate storage was I wanted the rear under seat storage for other things. Found these locking storage panels for overseas Rangers. Little bit of adaptation and adding 4 more holes to more securely mount them. Sadly the quality of one side was bad and all the spot welds were weak. The whole under frame popped off with a few light taps. Had to reweld it and the heat bubbled the finish. Can't complain too much as they were on sale and they gave me 20% back for the issues it had. Refinished it with black wrinkle paint, better hardware and nicer locks. The factory plastic bins had to go. Got some speaker line material and lined the cubby. One more project done.

Got the triple pass radiator and fan module assembled. Wires are run at the assembly. Used an Adel clamp to secure the main harness trunk to the stock shroud tab since that won't be reused. Just need to find an adapter to install the trinary switch that triggers the fans during ac use. Got half way through taking apart the mechanical setup. What should have technically been the quick and easy part isn't. Of course the fan clutch is not budging. And yes I know it's reverse threads. I'm hitting it with the air hammer clutch removal tool and nothing. It's late so I'll get back to finishing tomorrow morning.

And it's done. Tune loaded to bypass the fan clutch. Took a while before it finally came on at 70% or so. Cooled down to shut off temp in about a minute and a half. 87°ambient temperature. Looks like the new radiator is very efficient. Time for a test drive and see how much less drag there is on the engine. Last thing I need to find is the adapter for the trinary switch to activate when the ac is running. Pulls around 5,000 cfm through the core.

Drove it today for 20 mins half freeway and half streets with stop and go traffic. 82° ambient temperature. Fans didn't even kick on. It even got a low as 192° on decel which it never did with the stock radiator. This is with ac running. Still don't have the switch to automatically turn the fans on based on ac pressure yet. So, that added more heat to the system with no fan running. The Mountune radiator definitely works. Low speed fan is set at 207°, high speed 212° and off at 202°. I have to say I'm enjoying all the extra room, no fan noise and it warms up quicker. Filled the tank and will monitor future tanks for any mpg increase.

Final piece of the e electric fan conversion. Had to buy a new discharge line in order to have the trinary switch port soldered on. Next is to discharge the ac system, swap the line, recharge and connect the ground and switch. This will turn the fan on when the ac is in use.

And it's 100% finished. Fan will now kick on when ac is running. Now to finish off the tank and record the mpg gain.

First tank after electric fan netted .9 mpg more than previous best after intake manifold spacer and cold air kit. Went from 21.3 mpg for 3.5 years, 23 mpg spacer, 23.8 mpg cold air and now 24.7 mpg with fan.

Bed lights finally installed. Good thing I already had a power source. Used the plug for the camper shell that was already there. Found the female side plug for the lights and viola. This is with afternoon light shining into the garage.

Aux switches all done. Replaced 2 single switches with 2 dual switches. 4th garage opener, chase lights, compressor, electric fan (had to use a relay to trigger a ground instead of 12v), ditch and rear bumper lights.
