How many Kevarmy79's are there from Fargo ND just like he said in his one post... Man you gotta be real careful what you put on the internet. It doesn't take much to put things together.

On the other hand I suddenly believe he really does have a Ranger and isn't a troll making stuff up from Tacomaworld. Best of luck to him and I hope he solves his issues but... be smarter on the internet. I have nothing against gay swingers with huge johnsons.

Yeah, I googled it too, and like all of you who did likewise...well my remarks defy polite description, so that's the end of that.
But as another post stated alluding to "to each his own" I agree, but I have a very strong suspicion he's trolling us...

Sorry if I'm not on here multiple times every day. How often should I check in? I have an appointment for the truck this coming Tuesday, and Ford customer care said they can't move forward on their end until it's at the dealership and the service techs complete a specific list of service checks and record the results so a Ford customer care committee can use the results to make a determination. The customer care rep said the process on average takes about 3-5 weeks for this part of the whole process to figure out if the vehicle qualifies for buyback, lemon law, repair affected parts of vehicle, replace affected parts of the vehicle, or allow me to revoke the vehicle on grounds of substantial non conformity to perform as warranted and advertised which would allow me to pick out a replacement truck.
So there's the update, the truck still runs like crap, is freaking cold to drive since temps are -15 degrees and there's no heat, and I have to back up about 3 times and take a good run to try and get out of my driveway because 4x4 rarely works, it doesn't even go into 4x4L anymore, the 4L symbol on the dash just flashes red and nothing happens. When I turn the dial back to get back into 4H or 2wd it continues to flash red, I have to shut the truck off for a few minutes to get it to reset. If you have any ideas why that's happening please share, I'm happy to hear any suggestions on what I can try to cope with these issues until the service techs have it and can look into it. And I'm not too concerned about what people think of me as a person, and yes I do sound angry because the whole situation is maddening. I recently moved back to my home state after living in Texas for 6 years so I'm not familiar with many of the dealerships here anymore, last vehicle I bought here was almost 15 years ago. I just need a reliable truck to get to dr appts and physical therapy 3 to 4 times a week, about 62 miles one way to the hospital, and also to work 1 to 2 days a week which is 20 miles away. Military disability pension doesn't go very far each month and spending extra to drive all over looking for a dealership to help means less money for things like heating oil for my boiler, groceries, etc. But I'm not giving up, the truck is defective and not safe to keep driving. Anyone that wants to come to ND and take it for a spin is welcome to, just bring your thermal underwear and warmest winter jacket!
@Kevarmy79 have you made any progress with getting your issues fixed? I live in Fargo, ND, own a '19 Ranger and would love to take you up on your offer of having someone else drive your Ranger.

FYI, I bought my Ranger from Luther Ford here. I absolutely DESPISE car dealerships (I actually call them stealerships all the time), but to be honest, my experience with Luther Ford has been really good so far. The purchase process, trade in, and couple of service appointments, have all been very positive for me.

As far as I know, there are no HIPPA laws concerning motor vehicles. Why not ask the service manager about this guy & his "issues" to shed some light on the vehicle in question? I would be interested to know if this is a real post or not.

Plus I dont think the ranger has hill assist nothing in the manual about or no lights on my dash on my 2019 xlt fx4 that's fully loaded.
up or down hill?

Page 160 - Hill Start Assist
The system makes it easier to pull away when your vehicle is on a slope without the need to use the parking brake. When the system is active, your vehicle remains stationary on the slope for two tot hree seconds after you release the brake pedal. This allows time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator pedal. The system releases the brakes automatically once the engine has sufficient torque to prevent your vehicle from rolling down the slope. This is an advantage when pulling away on a slope, for example from a car park ramp, traffic lights or when reversing uphill into a parking space. The system activates on any slope that causes your vehicle to roll.
...
You cannot turn the system on or off. When you switch the ignition on, the system automatically turns on.

The manual is confusing in regards to Hill Descent Control, which it refers to as both Hill Descent Control and Descent Control in some sections and would also be part of the Trail Control function if equipped. Trail Control will hold a speed downhill but it's manual on / off. Not sure if this has been addressed in a later manual version.

I had emailed them on their contact form to ask them if it was real and got no response. At this point however, mostly because of the google searches, I'll stay away from this situation.

I believe the guy does have a Ranger, and he bought it at Luther, but not really sure of his mental state.

Pretty much no reason for ANYONE to get involved at this point... And this thread could be closed, or better yet deleted while kevarmy79 resolves his personal and truck issues.

This information has been moved to page 171 in the 2020 "Brakes" section of the owner's manual which leads one to believe that all drive models have it, regardless of being a 4x2 or 4x4.
On page 172 it also states that the system can be switched off or on via the information display on manual transmission equipped trucks, but not on automatics.
How many of you 2019-2020 USA market Ranger owners got manual transmissions? Please raise your hand...

OP wanted to lay low with a username he rarely uses. Unfortunately, he still used his swinger/porn profile name. Either a Tacoma troll or dude has some issues.

I've uploaded two pics that show my list of everything that has been going wrong with my Ranger since the day I got it, Oct 31, 2019. Now I can also add that the truck doesn't actually have, or it doesn't work, the system that is supposed to assist in applying brake pressure when it detects a pedestrian. A guy stepped out in the street in front of my truck two days ago, luckily I was only going 10-15 mph. I was able to push the brakes and stop about 2-3 inches from running the man over. There was never a single audible or visual warning or alarm that took place. There was no adaptive braking by the vehicle either. After being in 5 times to try and get this stuff repaired, the dealership told me I'm not allowed to bring it back for anything, and I'm not allowed to come on the lot unless it's to buy a new vehicle. I've been to 3 other Ford dealerships that will not service it either. It's a pile of junk, isn't even capable of towing 6000 pounds without causing the engine to misfire and then stall within less than 2 miles of towing.

That IS a long list. I'm sorry that you are having so many issues. I wish you would have numbered them so I can refer to them by number lol At any rate, I have experienced #9. It is constant, although according to one dealership "oh that's just road vibration", and another dealership "we feel what you are feeling, but we don't think its a problem". I was sick about it for awhile, but now I am just accepting it for my own health. I am hoping FORD will address this issue at some point. We are not alone on that one, and you are probably not alone on many if not most of the issues you are having. The collision assist is definitely only engaged at 30+ MPH. Good luck!

I mean for now i love the ranger…. But i do have concerns on long term reliability. I plan on keeping it for at least 6-7 years min. If i dont end up having to pay any big time repairs I’ll consider it a success. If i do end up having to pay big bucks 2k++ for any repair that wasnt caused by me; it’ll probably end up being my first and only ford.

Well, get ready for a second one, but then you'll have two... 'cause you won't want to give up the one you've got!
