I have the stage 2 Icon with billet upper arms on order. Won’t get it till mid March. So in the meantime I have a 3” Wulf level lift on its way. 17” KMC XD134 machine finish with black bead lock rings coming next week. Window tint on Monday. I already have the 35x12.50 bfg km2 sitting in the garage. I will be removing the stock front bumper and building a prerunner style bolt on bumper with skid plate and kc pro 6 lights. Install a 60 watt Rugged race radio.

That sounds great! I/we are looking forward to your build. What do you have planed for the rear of the front fender? I mounted one 285/70R17(32.7") on a Method rim with the same specs as your KMC's and had a lot of rub in the back. I ended up going with 265/70R17's and still had to take the crash bar off (you wont have this issue with your custom bumper).

Here are a couple pics during the day. Since the Rough Country level kit did the job for now, I decided to cancel my Icon order and wait to see what all the other Lift/Suspension companies bring to the table.

How does tire fitment look with the bar gone now? Did you take off the lower aero?
Yes, I had to take off the both lower aeros/deflectors. I left them on and they BARELY touched the tire at full lock. Seriously, you couldn't even hear it rub. The problem was when I went in reverse at full lock. It was just enough that the tread on the KO 2's would grab it and fold it up and under the bumper and then push it back out when I went forward. It probably wouldn't take very long before it self removed itself in a parking lot somewhere.

That’s why I went with the Wulf 3” for that extra 1/2” until I get the icon which will allow for a 3 1/2” total lift. I will know for sure next weekend and document my fitment process.

"Addicted Desert Designs" (ADD). It's my first time using them but from a build and service standpoint, I'm impressed. The build was great and they seem extremely strong. They emailed and called me to let me know that they build them per order so it might take a few days to ship. Well, I ordered them on a Saturday and received them by that Thursday. Awesome thanks, so do you think they would be durable enough to use as rock-sliders? The feel and the weight when you installed, did it feel like it could be resilient to some Offroad duty?? Thanks for your time and the truck is looking badass!!

Do they bolt to the body or the frame? $1000 bucks is insane. I'm in the wrong business. Time to bust out my tube bender.

That’s interesting. Mine is 10 days behind yours but I don’t have an “awaiting shipment” status and it’s been over a week now.

They have one version that is not reinforced and it bolts to the same spot as the factory ones. The second option (Rock slider $1400.00 :whew:) is built of heavier metal and has reinforments at each attachment point to keep it from being twisted and is mounted at the same stock location.

So there actual "rock sliders" still mount to the body. I'm guessing they don't think people will really use them super aggressively. Which is fair I guess.

My truck in my avatar has 2x4 of 3/16" with 3 dog legs into the frame. We pivot the truck around and over obstacles with them. Keeps the body damage down. Great side impact protection on the road too, although everything would probably just go under it:frown:

Hah yeah the only thing body mounted rock sliders would help with is light body damage. However, I wouldn’t want to put any serious weight on them. Wish someone would make a nice set of frame mounted sliders. Here in Colorado some of the trails have serious potential to destroy the body.
