If it hasn't already been mentioned and if you are not as nimble as in your younger days a Traxion tailgate ladder is most helpful. About sixty bucks from Amazon

I don't mind the steps getting in, but they seem awkward to use getting out. Perhaps I will get used to them before I get around to doing anything about them.
Ford made the steps extremely easy to take off and put back on

Agreed, but I think that I need at least a stoppable running board or actual drop steps since I sometimes have to transport my elderly mother and in-laws. The Tremor is too high for them to climb in without some kind of step.
