at least 3 times that.
if I follow Grumpas lead though and forget all about loading limits, I could probably stack them right up to the roof line if I could. might end up being a whole pallet load if I am good. air up the tires to the max and boom Bobs my Uncle. But I'm not dumb. I havent needed more than 60 2x4' yet.

if i am hauling more than 8 footers of anything, i put down a sheet of 3/4 plywood first. throw some lumber on top, and adjust the plywood to extend to the edge of the lumber, then pile it all on.

using my SIX tiedowns cuz they're so convenient I strap it all down criss crossy and laterally. and add a few for good luck
flag it accordingly and off I go.
the plywood acts as an extended tailgate (damper-less cuz I am a man) and the weight of the lumber, plus being tied off correctly prevents any of it from tipping or falling out the back.
some of you might be worried about my tailgate cables....I have yet to overload them, but daaaayuuuuum son.....they both the most evenly lengthed cables you ever did saw.

With the rac n cap, you can do that, plus 25 more. ?

Also, cheaper to buy a new truck each time you go to the store than the 3/4 plywood right now. ?

No. They don't sell them for DIY. At the time of purchase, they weren't even sold to 3rd party shops to install, though he said he was going to look into it.
