Anyone know an easy place to tie in to add puddle lights and wire color. Thanks.

Hopefully some body with a wiring diagram can figure it out and give us a answerI don't have an answer to your question but I'd be curious as to how it turns out. It'd be pretty cool if someone could do the Ranger logo or silhouette of the truck that shines on the ground.
Would mirrors from a Lariat be plug and play? They have puddle lights and turn signals.
Wiring is not there> Noting to plug into as far as I know. Wish they where wired.Would mirrors from a Lariat be plug and play? They have puddle lights and turn signals.
Getting lights are not a problem. The Xlt has no wiring to connect them to. Looking for someone who knows where to tap into an easy location to wire them. I think dome or cargo circuit would work. color of wire to tap would be great.Like these? They make them for Ranger also. Have them on my Lariat. Easy install.

Do you know which fuse that goes to? I could see this working with a simple fuse tap from puddle light to fuse. Does that make sense?I have a thread on adding Lariat Mirrors. Its still a work in progress, but the Lariat puddle lights run off same circuit as cargo lights.
Its a White-Green line coming out of the BCM, pin 26 - C2280F.

Off the top of my head - NO. Would look up but getting ready for a work mtg, crap I am late!Do you know which fuse that goes to? I could see this working with a simple fuse tap from puddle light to fuse. Does that make sense?
I disagree, except for the expense of the mirrors, the wiring is pretty straight forward. I have started a thread and will detail the project as I go thru it. Still need to find another mirror for a good price. But its worth it for me. The thrill of the chase...As the OP said already. Many XLT owners we’re looking to upgrade to Lariat type mirrors with their features. Heated, puddle lights, turn signal markers. Well the wiring for it is just not there. Everything would need to be snaked in from the dash to the door connector. We even had the pinouts figured out. Would be a major headache that we all threw up our hands and said, bang for the buck and time invested along with additional cost just makes it prohibitive. That’s the facts, your mileage might vary. Everything is on the forum, just got to dig it out. Good luck!
