Time to get on with life.

Is that opposed to being in a "tight tight" situation - where all the nuts and bolts on the vehicle are properly torqued? In our case a pre-covid Ranger is also a first model year so we are in a loose loose situation. Not really, 20s and 21s are 99% just fine.
Pfft I only have 8000 on mine.man this thread is hard to follow!
Best thing about a pre-COVID Ranger? I only have 12k miles on my 2019 ?
Memento Mori...Amor Fati...@RANGER PRIDE so what you are saying is we are all dead when we are born eh? our feeble brains don't know it yet? and then "life" is just our brains learning that fact eh? winter depression must be kicking in up north guy
Same situation. Saved $13k off sticker on a one-year old truck with less than 3,000 miles because I bought at the exact right time. Every month I get an email from both Carfax and Ford estimating my truck's value. Despite putting on 15k miles since I bought it in May 2020, my truck is still worth $7k more than what I paid for it.I've described my Ranger as a covid purchase on occasion. Only because the dealership had a supposed outbreak and only one sales person was on-site and a temporary business manager. Also, no one was buying anything due to whatever fears. I got a great deal, lots for my trade and one on one customer service.
I think the "pre-COVID" comment was relating to these two situations. They paid far less than otherwise because at the time people thought we were heading straight into the tank economically and at the same time things like tie downs and glove box dampers began disappearing. My brother bought a used 2020 recently and his has the iron knuckle that Ford went to when the aluminum ones became hard to obtain. His knuckle is already starting to rust, as is his frame - another "post-COVID" Ranger complaint I've seen that seems to mainly apply to the 2020+ models.Pfft I only have 8000 on mine.
I also like some people took advantage of the 0% @ 84 months.
I also have a center console tray, all my bed hooks, AND glove box damper.
No engine cover tho....
Its much much deeper than that. But if we laid it all out, there'd be some mama's boy who will complain that he's offended and it'll be taken down. Just like my post that was taken down for being "racist" because I warned that if you want to date a certain ethnic woman who does a very sensual demonstration of a Ford Ranger, she might not be a woman after all. I am sure you can read into this much deeper than what I've written, at least until this is taken down because some little mama's boy who is 40 years old and still living at home (who NEVER left) complains about it.No one could prove it one way or another unless a properly administered survey was conducted.
But no one can deny that covid brought on challenges unseen before and is a wake up call for everyone.
The only guarantee is that prices won't drop to pre pandemic levels. The greed is now cemented into business plans. We all will pay more for less, including quality.
The sad part is that you will have to pay $.37 for every mile you've already driven. They should eat that for all the misery it cost you as well as downtime maybe days off of work trying to get things fixed.Purchased my Lariat FX4 in March 2021, today I was notified that Ford is buying back my lemon. 4 months and 7,100 miles of ownership followed by the next 79 days at dealer for repairs to the rear axle and carrier bearing Email, instructions, etc should be in my hands in 5 days.
I will let you figure out what category it falls into.
Very true. There is a formula for the depreciation. Quick math was something like $2000 less to me for the 7100 miles when it went to the dealer. The sad part is that you will have to pay $.37 for every mile you've already driven. They should eat that for all the misery it cost you as well as downtime maybe days off of work trying to get things fixed.
