Andy, I'm glad it helped but I (we) wish we had known so we could've consoled you at that time. It was a fun thread and now even more special knowing it helped get you through a rough time.

Hi Mark,
My mom passed two weeks ago. 6 weeks prior she was given her last rites and sent home for comfort care where we thought any moment. The last time all brothers and sisters were together (7 of us) at one time was 15 years ago. We all prayed together and she lasted another 6 weeks. We all are thankful she could stay longer to enjoy her whole family one last time. It was a blessing for her and us.

Keep the faith and stand strong!!! I’m sure those are her thoughts and wishes!! Prayers for your family brother.

An idea - all of us have challenges, troubles and rough moments. I think this thread should be "open" for all of us who would like to share and get some prayers or support from friends at r5g. It has been selfish of me to keep this as "my" thread for so long when it should be a we or us thread.

Yes, all of us have challenges. But sometimes some of us have uniquely life-changing challenges, like a parent having a stroke, and I think it is perfectly reasonable and not at all selfish for those to get their own dedicated threads.
