I have found a forum reference that 285/70 r17 will fit with crash bar removal on stock FX4 suspension. Will a 285/75R17 with same modifications using stock rims and no spacers. ? A new Rubicon guy selling his oem tires is why and I am trying to save that money for other upgrades.

You should try to find that thread again and contact the poster. Those tires are about 1” bigger so you need to consider whether or not you’ll rub on more than just crash bars, especially without a level or lift.

Knowing how close the OP’s tires are to fog light housings, wheel well liners, the anti-sway bar, rear plastic crash blocks, etc. will give you a sense of how much room remains for these bigger tires.

My gut says that squeezing in 34s that are 11+” wide, without issues, will be tough. Another member (@tentspast) has 285/75R16 (32.8” x 11.2” ~same as 285/70R17) tires. They look pretty darn cool but look how tight it is. It seems to be an Aussie Ranger but maybe he can provide some insight.

Good luck Theo.

Yep the Aus Rangers have no crash bars and different front bumpers, fog light housings and wheel well liners I believe. My tyres fit fine without a lift but I think 34s would just touch the inside liner on full steering lock. I can double check clearances tomorrow for you. Good luck!

Rubicon take offs are going to be 285/70-17 - they come with 33s which do fit if you remove crash bars.

You won't get a 285/75 to fit without trimming and removing parts

Thanks seems guy miss wrote and would not sell only the tires. He wanted to sell rims, sensors, and tires together. At least now I know.
